Beach Wedding Dresses
Every bride wants to outshine everyone else on their wedding day and the beach wedding dresses they choose are an integral part of that aspect. Though the styles differ based on each individual’s fashion sense, there are a few things that a bride-to-be must keep in mind when it comes to beach wedding dresses.
First and foremost, you need to decide whether you and your partner intend to have decorations based on a particular theme. If you do, then you’ll probably want to make sure both of you are dressed in sync with that theme, while also complementing each other’s wedding outfits. To this end, beach wedding dresses can either be formal, semi-formal or casual. They can also be long or short.
However, brides must keep in mind that some features of a regular wedding gown can clash with the sandy location chosen for the ceremony. Some design and feature changes will have to be incorporated into beach wedding dresses to achieve the most visually appealing look on the beach.
Here are a few pointers:
- Avoid features that don’t seem practical on the sand. This includes flowing beach wedding dresses that gather sand and could also get wet and limp resulting in a ship-wrecked look.
- Keep your beach wedding dresses at a length that allows you to enjoy the feel of the sand and the waves washing over it.
- The material used to make beach wedding dresses should preferably feel light and comfortable.
- The styles can range from elegant looking formal gowns to casual sarong style beach wedding dresses.
- Other accessories that complete the look should be taken into consideration as well. These include veils, (which need to be weighted at their ends to ensure they’re not whipping around your face constantly), shoes (we prefer the barefoot look), hats (which you wouldn’t want blown off by the wind), etc.
